Paralegal apprentice

We're seeking a highly motivated paralegal to join our practice with an interest in both contentious and non-contentious work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in housing disrepair, wills and probate, debt recovery and other areas of civil litigation. Experience is not necessary, although preferred.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

• assisting solicitor with case preparation, research, and documentation;
• communicating with clients, court personnel, and third parties;
• assisting with client intake and case assessment, preforming ID checks;
• attending court hearings as scribe when necessary; and 
• performing administrative tasks to support the legal team.

You'll be enrolled on the BPP apprenticeship scheme. Work remotely although initially we would expect two weeks of training to be completed in the office based in Chelmsford. We're a new start up and family business with a focus on software development and innovation to provide the best possible service to our clients.
