Clyde & Co Bright Futures programme: April 2024
Applications deadline: 4 January 2024
At Clyde & Co, we strongly believe the legal sector should be accessible for all and should have as few barriers as possible. That’s why we’re delighted to announce that this year we’ll once again be running our Bright Futures programme – in collaboration with Bright Network.
Our weeklong Bright Futures programme is aimed at people from lower socioeconomic status groups who have not yet had an opportunity to gain commercial work experience. The purpose of this programme is to develop soft skills and prepare students for the world of work. They also have the opportunity to secure an offer on one of our vacation schemes the following year.
We recruit and retain our staff with the aim of being representative of the communities and cultures in which we work.
We are committed to diversity and equality and strive to create an environment where our people feel happy, respected and able to be themselves at work. We partner with a number of external organisations who help us with our work in this area, for example our partnership with My Family Care to support working families.
Our careers team works with organisations to support us in recruiting diverse talent. They include Aspiring Solicitors, RARE, The Bright Network and MyGwork. We are also the sponsor of the University of Durham Law Faculty’s First Generation Scholars Network.
We also recently launched the 'Clyde & Co Academy', which is a mentoring scheme aimed at ethnically diverse students.
We pay full fees for the GDL and SQE as well as a maintenance grant.
