Helena Kennedy Foundation
Founded by Dr Ann Limb in 1998, the organisation was set up following Baroness Kennedy KC’s Learning Works report, which identified a significant number of adults who lacked formal qualifications. It pioneered the introduction of bursary schemes for adults, which allow those who need financial support a feasible route back into higher education. Helena Kennedy Foundation (HFK) awards are currently available to those in further education and applying to enter university - find out more via the HFK website. In addition, there's also some financial assistance for asylum students, refugees and those with indefinite leave to remain in the country.
