Types of work

The top-quality work that we do means that we are instructed by major companies and our write-up in the Legal 500 reflects this.

Students will complete a week in either the Leicester, Northampton or Norwich offices, spending a day in each department. Where possible, students will undertake real work, attend client meetings or go to court.

Trainees complete four six-month seats, usually each one in a different department. Trainees joining the Norwich office will usually remain at Norwich for the duration of their training contact. Within the East Midlands region there is the opportunity to gain experience in two of the three East Midlands offices. We also now offer seats in our Cambridge office which trainees from either region can undertake.

Trainees report direct to a partner, and after three months and again towards the end of each seat will be formally assessed by the partner training them. Trainees will be given every assistance by the fee-earners in their department to develop quickly, and will be given responsibility as soon as they are ready.

We are looking for seven focused, enthusiastic and commercially aware graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree in any discipline. We welcome confident communicators with strong interpersonal skills who share our desire to be the best.
