Morrison & Foerster UK (LLP) (MoFo) is the first UK firm to publicly mandate that all lawyers must be fully vaccinated prior to returning to the office.
From Monday 13 September, the firm will be starting its phased office return, following the easing of lockdown restrictions. The firm’s lawyers will be expected to return to the office once a week but those without two vaccines will be asked to continue working remotely.
Other safety measures will be in place, including face coverings in common areas and social distancing.
Office attendance is expected to increase to two days a week from Monday 18 October – this progress will be dependent on the outcome of the ongoing review of the firm’s plans. MoFo will continue “to take advice from the firm’s consultant epidemiologist” in light of the office reopening on Monday 13 September.
The firm will continue to provide “flexibility to work remotely” as it is able to, with non-lawyers not expected to return to the office unless required for business needs.
