Mishcon De Reya retains 86% of its autumn 2021 trainee cohort

Leading law firm Mishcon de Reya LLP has retained 24 of its 28-strong trainee cohort who are due to qualify in September.
Starting on a salary of £90,000, the new associates will qualify in to a number of departments including:
- corporate;
- dispute resolution;
- innovation;
- private client; and
- real estate.
Daniel Lipman and Samantha Kakati, co-training principals at the firm, said: “We are delighted to be retaining so many high-calibre lawyers as they move into the next stage of their careers. In January, Mishcon merged with Taylor Vinters which brought in an additional 200 staff, 145 of those are fee-earners. Prior to the merger, Mishcon offered 25 training contracts annually, while Taylor Vinters offered five. The newly-merged firm has since confirmed that both training contract schemes will run “in parallel” this year.
