The Multicultural Scholars Programme (MSP) aims to support students from ethnic minorities throughout their legal studies at the University of Warwick and, in turn, increase diversity within the legal profession. It works with "an impressive range of" law firms, chambers and organisations and since its initiation in 2005, more than 120 scholars have graduated from Warwick Law School to pursue successful careers in law and other graduate professions. There are around 10 places available for students starting their law degree with the university each year and, as part of the programme, scholars receive a dedicated personal tutor, bespoke careers support, mentoring, trips to law firms and chambers, and more! In order to be eligible to apply, students must meet the programme's eligibility criteria – for example, they must be of Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Caribbean or African ethnicity, a first-year student on one of the university's law degrees and be a resident in the UK and eligible to pay fees at the home rate, among other criteria.
