Established in 1913 by Herbert Stanley Tee in Bishop’s Stortford, now a major regional law firm with six offices – in Bishop's Stortford, Brentwood, Cambridge, Chelmsford, Royston and Saffron Walden.

We have 25 partners within eight specialist departments and more than 375 staff including solicitors, tax experts, wealth management advisers, asset managers and support staff.

We converted to an innovative corporate structure in March 2010 with partners becoming shareholders in Trust Tees PLC.

On 22 March 2013 we were licensed by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority as an alternative business structure.

Tees are signatories to the Law Society Diversity and Inclusion Charter.

Our turnover is in excess of £30 million, our goal is to reach £60 million by 2028.

Summer 2024 vacation placement scheme – we offer one-week vacation placements for second-year undergraduates and above during the June. During this time the placement student spends the week split between two different departments to enable them to experience a range of the firm's work.

Training consists of four seats of six months each in four different departments within any of our six offices. Working in a supportive team with a partner/associate/solicitor/licensed conveyancer. Trainees are actively encouraged to get involved in marketing, networking, training and social events hosted by the firm. The environment is enthusiastic and friendly, with trainees having regular meetings with their supervisors to ensure their progress.
